Headquarters Austria, a partner of the CdH, again gave a reception in the famous Hotel Sacher
Key note speaker, Dr. Harald Katzmair, founder and director of FAS Research, a social network analysis & strategy firm located in Vienna and New York, gave insights into the secrets of networks and how they influence our life. Over the last 12 years he has developed a unique and proprietary set of tools and technologies to empower decision makers in the areas of Public Affairs, Key Account Management, Stakeholder Relations, HR and Organizational Development, and help them to navigate through the increasing complexities of our connected world.
Networks will be the topic at this year's Headquarters Congress as well, as Leo Hauska, president of the platform Headquarters Austria, pointed out in his welcome address, giving an overview of the next activities of the platform. The 2nd European Headquarters Congress on March 20th - 21st 2014 in Vienna will deal with various aspects of "Value Networks", providing a solution-oriented dialogue between economy, science and politics. It points out the characteristics of our network economy and illustrates how various value networks can be created.
In our network economy and society, organizations are confronted with new challenges: growing interconnectedness both internally and externally, high speed information flows as well as blurring boundaries with their surrounding environment.
In line with these changing framework conditions, common value creation processes need to be reconsidered. Value is not primarily created via dyadic relations between organizations and one of their stakeholders (e.g. employees, clients or suppliers). It is created within an organization?s own "value network".
This concept goes beyond common value chains and includes various stakeholders. In such a value network, financial and/or non-financial value (e.g. knowledge, innovation, product or service development) is mutually created. But, on this evening, the guests, representatives of various Austrian headquarters, trade delegates and other members of Headquarters Austria, just enjoyed networking in the atmosphere at the luxury Hotel Sacher Vienna, with it's traditional banquet halls.
