Live Webinar Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)

Due to the ongoing Covid-crisis we had another webinar event, this time in February 2022 with Funding Service Specialist Ms. Lisa Berg of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG).

The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) is the national funding agency for industrial research and development in Austria.

Ms. Lisa Berg informed us about the FFG funding schemes which play an important role in generating new knowledge, developing new products and services, and enhancing competitiveness in the global marketplace. They make it easier, or possible, to finance research and innovation projects, and help to absorb the risks involved in research.
The FFG supports international networking and encourages careers in science.

 

According to Ms. Berg FFG is assisting Austrian companies with 800 Million EUR per year for R&D. FFG has 370 employees, most giving advice on fundings. She then raized the question: Who can apply for funding?

Companies of all sizes located in Austria are eligible to apply for funding. To receive funding, research and development projects need to be highly innovative and technologically challenging. 

The FFG supports Austrian organisations in establishing and expanding cooperative relationships and it is partner in numerous networks that actively encourage international R&D collaboration. All companies and organizations registered in Austria can apply.

 

Lisa Berg, FFG Funding Service

Lisa Berg has been working at FFG for more than 20 years and has been involved in a wide range of support services related to national and international funding. 

The FFG Funding Service is the central contact point at FFG for all inquiries and provides tailored advice on funding opportunities („Where does my project fit?“).
