Visit Herz Armaturen Ges.m.b.H.

Our first live-event after a long pandemic interruption was the visit of Herz Armaturen Vienna in October 2021 - the leading manufacturer of valves and controls.

After a long interruption due to COVID 19 in visiting Austrian companies and institutions this main activity of CdH was renewed in autumn 2021. On October 18 we visited HERZ Armaturen Ges.m.b.H. the leading manufacturer of valves and controls in Wien-Liesing.

This visit had to be postponed twice however the general manager of the company Dr. Gerhard Glinzerer himself supported actively that the visit takes place now.  Together with other members of the management Dr. Glinzerer received us at the central administration office and manufacturing site of HERZ industries in Vienna where we received an overview on the priorities of this leading Austrian company in heating and insulation technology. Currently HERZ industries operates 40 factories in 12 European countries and employs about 3500 people.

HERZ Industries consists of three divisions:

- valves, controls and fittings

- biomass boilers up to 20.000 kilowatt and heat pumps

- insulation and packaging made of EPS, EPP and moulded pulp.

We visited the manufacturing facilities of the company where casting and machining of valves takes place. Each participant had the opportunity to cast a valve himself.

In his speech Dr. Glinzerer gave an interesting overview on the activities of the company including current issues such as delays in manufacturing and logistics caused by COVID, on price increases of raw materials and of technology and on the construction boom in several countries around the globe. The issue of energy conservation gains importance and supports the usage of energy saving technology provided by HERZ industries.
